Split A Duplex Into 2 Properties - Condo Conversion

I have a duplex in Broward County, FL. How do I split my duplex into 2 seperate properties so I can sell each one (each side) seperately?

    Here in Massachusetts, you need to employ the services of an attorney, an architect and a surveyor.

    The attorney handles the legal side: deed recording, condo docs, declaration of trust, etc. The architect handles the master deed floor plans. The surveyor handles the site plan.

    They all need to filed at the Registry of Deeds by the attorney to make things legit.

    The fees for a two family conversion run about $8000.
