I use land trusts all the time. This way you can put the property in a trust and then put the property on the market and sell it. then you can double close on the property and get paid after the short-sale has been accepted. If that is what you mean. When i get a short-sale together i have them fill out a land trust at the same time. i do not record the trust until i have the property under contract though.
