Suffiently motivated Sellers who have been treated fairly and with respect have little reason to dishonor their agreement .
However, if they are made to feel as if they have been backed into a corner, and too stupid to solve their own problem..... AND have no incentive to follow thru with their agreement to participate in a short sale... they may well
walk.
It's all in the approach, and prequalification of the short sale candidate. If you do enough of them, you'll get a read early on in the process.
My feeling is, if they won't stay the course, let them go.
