Short Sale

Might be dumb question because Im new to this SS stuff. What would motivate anyone to give you the deed to their property before the financial is satisfied. What is a good reason to give to the owner in preforeclosure to give you the deed before it closes.
Thanks for any reply, TG

snatching the deed in a preforeclosure short sale is contra-indicated.

you do not have to get the deed, personaly i wouldnt do that and have not yet. seems a little risky to me but i guess when you are jeff kaller and have hundreds of millions of dollars it doesnt matter[ Edited by ryand on Date 02/16/2005 ]

As the Short Sale Pro has pointed out before, there are legal issues with taking the deed before the short is accepted. im sure he would be more then willing to elaborate on it. all though some people do it that way.

i would say the best thing to do, is have the title deeded into escrow with an attorney, subject to your short being approved. i guess there is legal issues with this as well but i think this is a little better.
