Short Sale Outline, Procedures, Or Steps
Could someone please tell me the basic steps to a short sale? Or please explain to me how short sales work in detail? Or please tell me where I can find a good website that explains short sales.
I know that it involves searching the courthouse records where Notices of Default have been sent to homeowners before the properties go to foreclosures. It also involves working with the bank to get them to sell you the property for less that what the owner owes and getting a release authorization from the homeowner. But the first step is to have a written agreement from investors where you agree to find certain types of properties for them. And you both agree on what the investor will pay you.
Someone please help me out and be generous to send me step by step procedures on how short sales work. Or please direct me to the Creative Investor posts that explain this. Thank you.
