Section 8 Rents
I am recently going into housing for section 8 in PA and I wonder how much rent I can possibly get out of the system. Is there anywhere that I can find out this information? Or should I just increase my rents and see what I get? The current market for my area for a two bedroom apt is 350-450 is there a possiblity of charging more than that and getting it?
Thanks
In some areas section 8 pays a bit above market, however, there has been recent cutbacks and the maximum rent that they allow may be reduced. If you contact the Housing Authority that administers section 8 in your area, they should be able to give you the limits for the type of dwelling you have.
Hey jimandlacy, that website was a lot of help and I greatly appriciate your help!

I agree - very cool website. Thanks.
Do get an eviction attorney.
How much does an attorney usually run?
What if the tenant offers to bring himself current in rent?
one thing is to report any lease violations to help out other landlords from your experience.
Find and read the eviction laws in your state. Often times there are also government sites that will give you the step by step process for your state.
A couple of links I googled that may be helpful:

I forgot to mention that the lease ends sep 30th, and im not renewing it, does that benefit me in anyway?
thanks for all the advice
