Hi. Does anyone know of any counties that you can buy delinquent tax deed properties through a sealed bid process or an over-the-counter transaction? Please advise.
In Pike County PA properties that do not sell at the tax deed sales are placed on a repository list. These properties can be purchased by private bids to the tax claim office. I assume that other counties in PA have the same procedure , but I don't know. To find out more about Pike Counties Repository sale list go to www.pikepa.org/taxclaim.htm

There are probably at least a thousand counties where you could do what you mention. Study the state statutes to find out how things work in a state. Then find the counties in that state where you can buy some good deals.
