Satisfied judgement

Hello,

I was curious if anyone knew whether a judgement which has been satisfied can be removed from a credit history, perhaps by means of contesting it.

Well a judgement is to stay there for 7 years - you can get the person that filed the judgement against you. There is a term for it, can't remember it right now.

It does work - A power company placed a judgement against me when I was in college - I called them last year and said I was sorry, I was stupid, I paid it.... The whole sob story. And the lady had it removed - my credit score went up like 20 points

    Hope that helps

First of all the fact that he called the power company gave them a sob story and they removed the judegement he should consider himself very lucky. Useually when I negotiate with a creditor I never do it by phone. There are literally thousands of cases where a collection agency or creditor will tell you sure we can take the listing off and never do. First if you are going to deal with a creditor or collection agency do it in writing. Make them an offer tell them I will pay the balance in full if you send me proof in writing that you will remove the listing from my credit score. No proof, No money! Most agencies will tell you they cant remove the listing. This is bull it just as easy to remove the listing as it was to put it on. Do not take no for an answer!! Any question please let me know I was a credit repair specialist for 10 years rowland333@hotmail.com
