Sales Commissions
CAn I legally collect a sales commission if I sell my neighbor's home even though I am not a licensed Real Estate Agent ? IE: my neighbor tells me he wants to sell his house but he has not listed it with anyone yet. I tell him I have a friend that would buy it. Can he pay me a commission to sell it for him?

You can't get paid a commission unless you are a licensed agent. However he can pay you a referral fee of some kind for finding him a buyer.
Essentially there is little to know difference, it just word games. Call up the title company and ask them how they would list this on the hud!
