Rhino Homes ?

Does anyone know of this Co. or Co. similar to it. The way I understand it is basically they hold your hand all the way thru the rehab process, then split the cost (45/55). They charge 750$

I have done 3 rehabs. with a partner doing all the work ourselves. With the exception of heating/AC, carpeting, and major electrical. But dont feel we have worked smartly in the whole process. And would like to step it up a notch esp. if i want multiple houses at one time. So I figure if they can show me how to deal with wholesalers, choose a more profitable house, deal with contractors, work smarter, less time and more profit. What do i have to loose if I can achieve my goal FASTER.
So my Question is what are the downfalls or maybe what should I make sure of before I get into a binding agreement.
Thanks Bob confused

WHat do you mean by split the cost 45/55 ? Does this mean that out of the profit you make on the rehabbed properry they want 45% of the profits ontop of the $750 they charged you up front ? If that's correct then that's one of the Greatest scams I have heard of.

If you alrady realized that you didn't do your first 3 rehabs efficiently then your 1/2 way to solving your problem. Why would you need someone to show you how to get quotes and choose a contractor? Any rehabber on here would tell you to get at least 3 quotes for the work needed, throw out the highest & lowest quotes if their more than 10%-15% apart and pick a contractor that you feel comfortable with out of the remaininfg contractors. If you have been doing the work yourself then you surely must know what questions to ask of the contractors.

After reading your post I'm now seriously thinking of starting up a new company called Rehab 101...lol

Not really sure if I and all the other readers appreciate that kind of a slam. We are all here to learn and was taught that there is no thing as a stupid question. So knowing that, maybe I should ask advice from some seasoned PROs
    I,ll rephrase the question.
If I have found a mentoring program, can anyone think of a reason why I should not pay money for it if it helps achieve my goals faster smarter and frees up my time. I have read many post of people looking for mentors and dont think there are many out there much less for free.
    Thanks all Bob

Sorry if my reply was taken as a slam, it wasn't meant to be, and it was definately not infering that it was a stupid question. I was just taken agast that someone would charge a fee then want almost 1/2 of the profits on your investment.

I suppose that in the end, all you really invested is you initial fee, and if your happy with what you've learned then it was a worthwhile investment .

If the guys are going to take half or some portion of the profit then what in the world are they doing asking you to pay $750 up front. In my opinion and experience, when a company in any industry does this then it means that they do not believe in their ability to make a decent profit otherwise. With that in mind, do what them as a partner?

These types of companies come and go throughout all industries on a daily basis. The business model is to make their money off of the upfront $$$$ and in many cases not fulfill their agreement.

Tell them that they can have the first $750 of profit and the split the rest. See what they say?

do they put up half the money for the purchase and rehab costs ?.if they are then why wouldnt they be entitled to 1/2 the profits. if they just hold your hand without any investment on their part, then the arrangement you described is larceny.

If they want profit from the deal then I would hope that they have skin in the game.

Either way, the $750 up front is out of line.
