Revote In Florida
I know we voted on this once already but I was throwing this out there again since we had time to test it.
The "Report this post" email.....I am suggesting the report be sent to my PM and not my email. Reason being is that I have to jump though too many hoops just to see whats going on and it would be easier (for me) to handle the problems pretaining to the site if I was already on the site. Just a recount thought.
Agreed. Difficult to get from email to post, especially when I've got a dozen emails of "illegal posts."

JOEL,
Did you read this post. Having 15 post reported in my inbox on my hotmail account does me no good when trying to help out here. Could you please give us the option as to where the reported post goes....or do me a favor and just change mine.
Ditto
Agreed!!!
Dmitry.
Or maybe just one email per day would be good. I dont have a real problem with it until everyone tries to be a good samaritan all at once and I end up with 23 emails on the same post lol.
Personally,
I don't want an email at all. All the information about the post, the poster, the person who reported the post, all that info can be summed up and sent to the PM mail box. You have to come to the site to deal with the situation anyway, so why not have everything in one central location.
Well I guess I'm a contrairian..
I like eMail notification as I get instant notification when I have a new email.
I'm not on this site 24/7 and therefore I can respond quicker with email notification.
How about a user config option so you can specific your preference?[ Edited by GlennI on Date 04/05/2004 ]
This is a vote of who uses PM or EMAIL more.
Not all of us are on the website constantly, including myself, I am normally working on the site so email for me is faster than PMing.
As we progress, we don't want to slam everybody with email. Really, the posts needs to be flagged and turned a different color, but this feature will require not only a database change, but a days worth of coding in order to get it correct. I don't have that time right now.
I did spend about a half day getting the "reasons for why the users posts are being deleted" feature working. I think this will eliminate moderators having to explain to the users why their post was deleted.
I hope this helps.
