Anybody know if it should be recorded with the county, or does it matter?

    A:
You don't need to record the trust, nor do you want to. Why let everyone in the world be able to read how you plan to divy up your property when you pass away?

If you hold real estate in the name of the trust, the lender and title company will want to look at your trust just to make sure that you, as trustee, have authority to sign for the trust. The lender will want to also know if you are the beneficiary.
