Reporting Twice !!!
If a company, (lets use Sears) sold an account to a collection agency shouldn't Sears be removed from the credit report and the collection agency remain on it. Should I dispute it because both accounts are showing different amounts being owed? :-?

If the account was sold, the Sears TL should show a zero balance, and "account transferred or sold". It can still show a balance if the account was assigned but Sears still owns it. The CA TL is proper, unless the CO was 7 years or more ago. It's up to you to fight the re-aging if it's improperly claimed to be a newer debt.
