There are a lot of factors to consider to be able to qualify that.
1. Does the existing driveway need to be removed. If so, how far to haul the debris is a factor.
2. The size of the driveway. As a larger one will usually permit a lower price (sq feet) than a small one.
3. Binder coat only or binder plus top coat.
Typically in my area, asphalt is about half the cost of concrete (installation only).
Currently, concrete runs about $4.00 sq ft (again installation only-does not include removal of old driveway).
