REOs In NY
I live in NY and am having a hard time finding decent priced foreclosures and REO's. I called some banks they said that they didnt know what I was talking about. Any suggestions on locating these properties and is new a good place to do this kind of business in?

I suggested to my brother that he should start REI, he also lives in NY and I'm originally from there. I found the homes in that area were priced too high (over $150k), but they're there. Thats in Suffok co. Where are you located?
I'm starting out in North Carolina, the homes are around $50k and that is much easier to get financed for.
There are sites that give you foreclosure listings in any state. Also, depending on who at the bank you talked to and what "terms" you used, they may not know what you mean. I think asking for "any foreclosed homes" is better term than "REOs."
