Renting To People In The Military

I am investigating a distress apartment that is basically next door to a military base.

I thought that military people would be good tenants. My mentor said, if they get transferred or deployed, that can void the lease at will. This did sound correct to me.

Is this part of the soldier and serviceman act (name?)

Any comments or experience.

As an old Navy Chief and living in an Air Force town (Las Vegas), that clause never hindered me.

Always glad to have Military in my houses as they are always kept up and left in pristine condition with payments made on time. Military must maintain their credit rating both for security clearances and staying out of trouble with their command.

Military personel usually get a 6+ month lead time before deploying or transfer so you have plenty of time
to figure out your next step.

As an added plus, you can get some pretty cheap advertising rates in the base newspaper.

Thank you Military members for your service.
