Renting in any holiday spot the best way is to list the condo to a realtor that offers this type of rental services. They specialize in renting short term,they take care of the cleaning as well as collecting on your behalf. The furnishings are the basics but must be completely furnished, like a hotel. once you locate such an agent they will tell you what is needed and how much they can get for you The returns are high if you can have a fairly good occupancy rate. Talk to the agent about that as well.
I would do it the same way with propane as you did with oil. I would however get some type of money as a security deposit assuring that you can collect when the tenents leave. I just filled my 500 gallon propane tank for $1000+.
