Rental With A Pool

Does anyone know if we, as the land lord, are required to or if it is a good idea to, have additional insurance on a rental house that has a pool?

Thank you.

There is no requirement to get additional insurance for a pool, but it is highly recommended. You get liability coverage on your rental dwelling policy, but I would look into a liability umbrella policy. Talk to your insurance agent. They are relatively inexpensive for 1-2 million in excess coverage and protect you at all of your residences. If you have an LLC you must buy one for each LLC.
