Removal Of Judgements
I have some blems on my credit report from 1996 but they did not post until 2001 and 2003. I made contact with them once and she said they would pull my file and contact me. I have left 4 messages since then and they will not return my calls. What can i do to have them removed.
Check the Florida statute of limitations on debts...they may be too old & if so, you can demand they be removed....regards, CWal
The judgements are out of New Jersey. But i have to agree, i beleive they only have a certain amount of time to place a judgement against you. I will do some further research and post a reply when i have the answer. More suggestions would be welcomed.
the score usually does not go up with a judgment payoff, only when it is either removed from the credit report or falls off naturally.
NOT to discount what everyone else has posted but there is one thing that has not been mentioned or asked, should I say. The first thing that you want to look at is the "last reporting date" on the credit report. Is it reporting as of the month that the credirt report was pulled or was it "last reporting" 2 years ago? If it is still reporting then absolutely paying it off will help your credit but if it is reporting from a year or two ago it will hurt it for about 6 to 8 months. Also what you want to look at, as well; what type of judgment is it? If it is from a service company or a judgment due to a type of "mechanics lein" than you may have the capability of correcting the situation and completely removing it from your report.
you might try looking for a lease/purchase contract

Laurie is right. Get yourself in a position to succeed first. Change your spending habits. Spend alot of time thinking about how you can earn more money and then do it. Spend less, make more that should be the American Dream!
