REI - Full-time Job?

I've read many posts about people who are working towards becoming REI's full-time. Many of you are already there. This obviously sounds great, to be able to work for yourself and still make good money. I would like to know how it's done. Some people talk about doing it in 18 months and I just don't understand how it can be done that fast. Please give me some information on how long it took to become a full-time REI. Also, was it done by rehabbing, wholesaling, flipping, etc.? Thanks.

    Definitely a great question.

You'll hear it plenty, but you HAVE TO LAY out goals on paper. Without a doubt, you have to sit down and think about a plan to get you there. Figure out all the ways you can invest and then what realistically it will take to get you there.

I know, I know...goals..smoals...but I'm serious. The people in the business who do well have a plan. They know exactly how to much to buy per month, per year and how much to spend and have all costs figured out. You can make great money with any of the things you mentioned, some take longer, some take shorter amounts of time, again, you have to know what you are able to do.

My rule is once you have built up enough reserves where you could take a year off of work and be fine and you know you could make it the same way the next year, then it is time to do it full time. Do not let go of that job until you know you can do it without hurting you, family, or friends.

Let's just say I learned the hard way
