Stairway To Heaven Or Hell?
I'm looking at a property that is a good little fixer, but has about 15 steps to the front door from the street. The entire house has a retaining wall that ends at the sidewlk, about 10 feet high. Front lawn gently slopes upward to the house for about 15 feet.
Two landings are in the middle of the steps. Given that the steps are in three sections of various ages and probably need to be replaced or at least resurfaced, are these too many steps? I've been told to stay away from houses with lots of steps to the front door.
How many steps are too many?
More than, lets say, 8 or 10
