Sewer And Snake
The rental property had sewer backup and the tenant used the sewer snake to de-clog the pipes (going from home to city sewer). I guess at some point the sewer cable got stuck and they just left it there. In the next 2-3 months this tenant left and new tenant moved in; complained to sewer backing up. When we checked the basement the old sewer snake cable was on the floor (other end in the sewer pipe). We just cannot pull it out! Any advice would help.
We dug the concrete in the basement around where the cable was inserted into the sewer; tried pulling; inserted another cable to de-clog but the first cable is still stuck!
Whats the solution?
The snake was well stuck inside; sewer had cracked. We ended replacing the sewer pipe; put a new pvc pipe from home to the street
