Can anyone give me a ballpark cost per sq. foot for refinishing hardwood? This assumes a professional is doing it. Thanks
I am having hardwoods finished right now on a rental for $1.65 per sq.ft.
I have a trick for refinishing hardwood. If the hardwood floors are not scratched, but don't look all glossy and pretty ... I like to use FUTURE. First I use Murphy's Oil and a brillo pad to clean the dirt. Then I slather FUTURE on it and wait until it dries. It lasts about 6 months, long enough to sell the house or rent it out. (not to mention a bottle of Future is much cheaper than refinishing) Hope This Helps, Mrs. Meltzer
Is Future a cleaning solvent that I could by at my local store? How does it restore the finish? Thanks
In the DC area the cost is in the $1.30 - $1.60/sq. ft. range (for a professional job)
