Painting The Interior Of A Rental Property

Hello: I just have a quick question that may or may not have an easy answer. Does a property owner have to paint between renters? Is there any law that states that they do. I live in NH if that helps.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No, that sounds pretty rediculous. Normally, you would either just do some touch up painting to cover any dings, scuff marks, etc... or a full blown repaint if the old tenant was particularly rough or was there a long time.

NOt aware of any painting laws in US.

In Germany it is customary for the departing tenant or the new tenant to pay to have the entire apartment painted. New tenants either pay up front at the start of the lease or as an exit cost. You can opt to not have the apartment painted by the departing tenant and at the end of your lease you are not obligated to pay for painting.

Germany is probably a landlord paradise. In addition to utilities, tenants pay for building upkeep, community maintenance, community utilities, property manager, as well as maintenance of the apartment during and at the end of the lease.

    Hello

Not enough info to determine problem but Sewer sludge is normaly black not brown. Also not sure where you house is located but could be an old line for septic or water or basement drain.

Just some ideas to think about.
