Fulltime rehabbers

How many of you here are doing rehabs fulltime? I am to the point of leaving my day job to pursue this fulltime and just wondering how many others have done this.

    Hello Kelly,
Are you a builder? What assect of the rehab are you doing yourself? How many rehabs have you done to date. Are you able to locate and purchase enough properties to keep yourself in business full time?

I have purchased my first rehab site and in process of closing on another. I am not a contractor, but a counselor by profession. I guess I could get in there and hammer or saw and cut or even some of the simple plumbing jobs. I find it best to leave to the contractor what they do best. I wish you much success in your new business.

Keep us posted on your success.

    Hey Kelly,

I am a builder / home inspector and
I would advise you to do it on part time
    until you can get established.

I do some rehabs but I find that I can make more money off of new construction
    then fixing one up.

The square footage cost is typically more
for a rehab than new construction.

Of course your making your money on
the purchasing side of them for the most part.

    Good luck.
