what would be a good estimate to run approx. 20 ft. of insulated sheetmetal to connect to crawl space ductwork and a new a/c unit... just labor & materials on the sheetmetal work only...thanks all...CWal
The other positive to a building permit is that a 3rd party has verified that the work has been done to code, as opposed to what the contractor says.
This came up in a kitchen remodel I did. I pulled permits, and a "neighbor friend" did the work. Inspector found numerous issues, which had to be corrected. I had the piece of mind in knowing it was done properly. The buyer of the property never asked for the kitchen permit, but he did ask for the bathroom (which I had). Buyer can obviously go to the city and find the permits himself.
bump...
anyone...?
I have no idea. Why not just call a few local HVAC companies and ask the?
