Refusal To Sign Deed Of Trust
Has anybody ever heard of being able to record your signed promissory note with and unsigned Deed of Trust. I sold a property as is to a buyer. I was out of town and couldn't get the promissory note and deed of trust to the buyer before we closed. I gave the promissory note to her to sign, which stipulates that it is to be bound by the state of oregon, and secured by a deed of trust. I ended up fixing the furnace and water heater in the house before we closed. The roof in the laundry room is leaking and she thinks that I should fix it.
What should I do?
