Reality Real Estate TV SHOW Your Thoughts Please
I am working on a TV show that assist people with the homebuying process the show is like a contest and whom ever wins will get roommakers and other little things. Without giving to much informationm out about this concept I would like my community to give me your thoughts on how this sho concept can be successful....... Reality Real Estate Show for People Buying Real Estate For the First Time
I think there are already too many House Hunter, Property Virgin type shows.
How about one that focuses on the other end? Instead of featuring the people buying distressed houses produce something that follows the seller facing foreclosure and how they deal with it using various traditional and creative techniques. With the foreclosure market exploding, I think the interest will be high for ideas and examples of what to do and NOT do when facing the gavel.
Just my two cents.
Jim
Do you think a homeowner facing this problem would like to go on video?
This show will focus an the ups and down of getting to the closing table. Yall know how that part is a rollercoaster for us experienced folks but what about for a person that is going theough this for the first time to experience some folks will just quit.... this show will bring back the faith in the market and the intergity to this business..... Give me your thoughts
the point I mention could/would be bumps on the rollercoaster.

If you are providing assistance w/ the process or a light at the end of the tunnel for the seller then I think that you would have them lining up to be in the show.
Whatever you do provide the REALITY of the deal and not some implied fantasy. For example on those flip shows they end the show with a "projected profit" of $115k, $200k, $80k but they only use acquisition, rehab and ARMV to get their numbers. We all know there is more to it than that and the real money is not nearly that much. Tell the whole story.[ Edited by rehab2day on Date 12/31/2007 ]
Show the mistakes , Where the Investor loses his shirt .
Before I could offer any suggestions I would need to know how much about what different investing techniques are you familiar with; Wholesaling, Retail, options etc
Thanks for the replies. I am mostly interested in Rehabs, but I realize that would require a larger monetary commitment than I am able to give. I am also thinking of trying to flip properties to other investors until I can get more money in my pocket and can do other types of deals. There are a lot of (pre)foreclosures here in Texas so hopefully I can use that to my advantage. Thanks for the responses.
