Real Estate Attorney In Central Florida
Hi,
This is my first post here but have been reading the wealth of information for several months. Thank you all for your contributions.
I bought John Locke's SUB2 book and read it and I am ready to go out and find some motivated sellers and do my first deal. However, I am having a real tough time finding a real estate attorney who is familiar with creative RE transactions. I have called about 10 so far and every one of them either have no idea of what I'm talking about or mentions "the due on sale clause" and how they foresee that as as problem. I already know that this is rubbish and they're just not familiar with this type of RE deal.
Would someone in the Orlando, Longwood, or Seminole County have a good creative RE attorney that they could recommend? I would be very grateful

Follow up...
I've been to 2 attorneys’ here in Central Fl area. Both of them told me they were familiar with Sub2 and both lied. Wasted my time and money. The second on even had the nerve to tell me (after making me wait for weeks), that sub2 deals can get hairy and that because of that, he wouldn't back me up in court. Not those exact words, but the meaning is the same. The attorney who said this is a member of my REI group!!
I've decided to learn as much as I can about Fla. RE law and am buying a book on RE contracts and negotiations as well as Land Trusts in Fl. Going to re-read $Cash$’s sub2 book this weekend.
I've spent too much time on this already.

After you punch in the info and get the names of the attorneys, I would then interview a few, then pick the one you liked.
You can also ask for recommendations and referrals at local Escrow/Title companies and also possibly at a local REI club.
