I don't believe that I've seen or deleted any of your posts so I can't give you any constructive criticism.

    Refer to the Forum rules:

    http://www.thecreativeinvestor.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Forum&file=faq#rules

Only the moderators may delete your posts. There are different moderators for each forum. If something gets deleted you can ask one of them why. Know the rules and abide by them, and you should be just fine.

I must point out that the forums are generally free of spam, advertising, personal propaganda, vulgarity, hate speach, off topic posts, etc. This is what makes the forums useful. Unmoderated forums go south fast.

    Welcome to TCI!

The forums here from it's conseption, was made to be a place ONLY to document problems and solutions. That's it.

The only way people will be able to find solutions for thier problems is to get legit posts from other people sharing their experiences.

The community moderators and the forum posters have really been the reason why TCI is the number 1 place to ask real estate questions.

Thanks to everybody who has helped out, moderating, reporting posts, and participating.

    Hi miraclehomes,
Did you check the other forums for your posts. I am new at this and sometimes my posts get moved to a more relevant forum. Just a thought....

  • joel30th July, 2004

Yes that is true. Sometimes posts get moved to a better forum.

You can check this out by going to your MyTCI page, and looking at your last 10 topics and posts you participated in. That will have the updated link to your topic.

Same thing has happened to me. I posted a question about mortgages and got an email saying someone had replied to my post. When I used to link to access my post, it had error message and my post was no where on the board.

Never mind my previous post--I read the rules. I had accidently used all caps in my title and I didn't know it is was a no-no. That explains why my post was deleted.

There are legitimate reasons for deleting a post, but I am reminded of one post in particular that someone wanted to know what to drive and wear to an appointment. I proceeded to explain my car, my earrings, etc.., but later found my post was deleted, even though after going over the rules for the hundreth time, I had not broken any.

    miraclehomes,

I personally read many posts everyday and receive "report this post:" throughout the day, what I have found is that I get to know the TCI member by how they post. So I cut some slack from time to time depending on how much a member posts to help others, even if they slip once in a while, but after posting 3,000 posts myself, I guess I earned the right to.

This board is for the new person and experienced investor, with different levels of investing in between. You will find spelling and grammatical errors, even some questions that may look stupid. Remember the poster is here for help, not an education on spelling and such.

There questions are sincere to them, no matter how they appear to others, our responsibility is to make sure any person who posts here receives the best advice possible.

Now about your post being deleted, what kind of car do you drive maybe someone doesn't like that model?

I don't know why your post was deleted, sometimes and entire thread gets deleted so if you posted to it then your post is deleted also.

If you feel it is happening to much when you are in the right let me know, however just make sure you were in the right.

Have you considered that, after a reply is posted, the post moves to the top of the list. It is no longer located where it was when you originally posted it? I sure hope this made sense.
