You will need to fill out a claim form for Lost, Stolen or Destroyed Instrument.
Unless you are a "Premier Customer" or whatever term your bank uses to describe this status, you may have to wait 90 days.

Was it given to you? or was it your fund to give someone else?

All is not lost cashiers checks can be replaced just like any other check. The only difference is that there is a waiting period before they will re issue it. However if enough of the check is readable then the process can be shortened.

    Hey,

The term "Washed Check" means one that has had the amount and "Paid to name" removed from it, but has retained all other information. This allows an "Evil Doer" to write their name and amount on the check and deposit it.

So when I read the title to this thread, I thought "WOW! The people committing fraud are getting bold. This guy is bragging about it!"
