Hmmm $$$$$ In The Construction Trash Business?
This business would be based in Texas. Supposedly there is more work than there are companies how do the work.
Here are the numbers:
$20,000 Good Truck
$250 Your truck can make an hour
$1400 Insurance monthly
$15.00 Driver Hourly Rate
After you pay the driver and the insurance this leaves you with 17,400 ever 2 weeks and 34,800 every month. I don’t know what gas cost so that would have to be subtracted. The guy offering the opportunity is retiring from a 100k a year job. He will be focusing all his energy on this business and he is in constant communication with someone who was already successful in this business.
I gave him the following proposal. I will help him purchase his second truck. I will invest $5000 or 25% into a 20,000 truck in exchange for 25% of whatever the truck makes for a year. What I would do is save up the money and pay the truck off completely and after a year give him 25% of the truck for life. I have no desire to be in this business whatsoever but I feel pretty comfortable with him running it. Depending on how profitable it is I would try to buy other trucks and give him a % of those as well.
Yeah it sounds almost to good to be truth but that’s why I’m limiting my interest in this to $5000.
Any of you have some experience in this area feel free to give me some questions I can run by him.
