If you are trying to edit your computers registry, hit START>RUN>regedit
Be careful, as you can heavily damage your system playing around in there if you don't know what you are doing. I recommend backing up a copy of your registry before you play with it.
Thanks for the reply Stretch, the problem is everytime I run my adware software this one piece always comes up and its location is in the registry and it wont go away with the scan so I think I need to go in and delete it manually ?
Also Try Spybot and Ad-aware. There are a lot of spyware removal programs out there but many are useless. I was recently infected by the coolwebsearch spyware and the only remedy to successfully remove it was to clean the harddisk.
The best one ive seen out there is webroot's spysweeper.
Most likely the key you will be looking for in regedit to delete the string (im guessing its coming up on startup) should be:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run
Is this Norton program an additional piece of software ? I doubt I have that program. I have Norton AntiVirus. It is set up to run every week, so when it runs I see the results and it has 15 or so adware programs it finds. When I try to delete them I always get delete failed so no resolution to it from Norton in my experiance ?
It sounds like you have an impregnated adware proggie in several files- mabye an ActiveX?? In my experience, some spyware proggies actually will add spryware to your system.. Also, some will find adware that others do not, Some will detect other adware progies AS spyware. It gets ridicilous... I found this true with adaware and spynuker. I run Norton and adaware in sucession now and it solves most problems..My system shows no virus or trojan yet people I send to-using MSN -say it infected-even though it's not- It's probally my flashget proggie...I currently have a problem with norton not finding its own registry to automatically update itself- any comments? What both of us need to do, is activate shared control of our computer to someone who is a real computer guru/programmer...

Usually such files are in more then one folder.
You can often get on the internet to find out how to get rid of a certain spyware file.......again, becareful.

CWShredder works good for CoolWebSearch.
