Quit Claim Deed Info
I need help please !!!! My grandfather passed away. I have power-of-attorney of my father. I was told to get a quit claim deed on my grandfather's house. I have no idea what to do. Every form I have seen has to be notarized by my grandfather which is not possible. Any information would be greatly helpful. Thank you!!!! :-? :-? :-?
This would be a question for an attorney.
Unless you mistyped above--I am not sure how having a power of attorney over your father will help you dealings with your GRANDfather.
Please explain more what you are trying to do.
One of the first things you need to know is if there was an estate plan in place. A will, a living trust, etc should spell out what is to happen now. If one didn't exist, then (I believe) that the state's Probate laws will dictate what is to happen next. A probate attorney should be able to offer you sound advice regarding these things.
Good luck,
Jeff
