Quiet Title Suit

I am looking at purchasing a 4 acre lot at our local county auction and would like know what the procedue is to perform a Quiet Title Suit to ensue a clear deed to the property. Can anyone let me know what I need to do and how much this may cost. I am in St. Louis County, MO.

    Jawisa,

I don't know enough to help you, but I did find a few links to begin with. Hope these help.

First is to section 140.330 of your state's "Revised Statutes"... http://www.moga.state.mo.us/statutes/C100-199/1400000330.HTM

Second is to an outfit I found through Google that claims to take care of the problem without a Quiet Title action... http://www.taxtitleservices.com/01_about.html

If you've ever used (or know about) services like LendingTree that do research for you and give you options, there's one for legal help too... http://www.legalmatch.com . You might post your situation there and see what you get back.[ Edited by wannabe21 on Date 05/30/2004 ]

Are you anticipating a problem, or do youknow for a fact that a quiet title action is necessary?

The package from the trustees ofice indicatyed that a mortgage company may not accept the deed given after the sale. It mentions the issue with a Quiet Tile Suit.
