Quiet Title In Florida

I see these quiet titles all the time. I know it is for a tax deed certificate purchase, but how does this work? Can the transfer of deed be stopped by paying off the certificate holder once they have filed foreclosure?

Just wondering if anyone knows how this process works. Thanks.

Thanks for all the info panicfilms.

Once someone has filed quiet title, is there anyway for the homeowner to save the property yet at this point?

The whole point of a quiet title action is to ensure that no other person can make a claim against your title. The action ends any dispute about who owns a property.

Once the Quiet Title procedure is filed, it is usually much too late for a homeowner to reclaim his home.

All of the neccessary prerequisites have usually taken place... the Tax Deed sale, the Foreclosire, etc.

Quote: Since the resident would be treated as an owner you would have to go through a judicial foreclosure instead of a simple eviction to remove them.

I do not understand what you mean by this. Could you give an example?
