Question Regarding SS Strategy

I have a marketing question regarding mailing to new foreclosure filings.

I mail postcards, but here is my question.

Do you mail to bad areas?

It seems like the bad areas have the most repairs/deferred meintenance, as well as plenty of low comps.

It seems like you could make a case for huge discounts in these areas, but would have to work in them as well.

Also marketing time would be longer to sell. Or if you get in cheap enough you could hire a mgmt co. and rent it.

Does anyone have any advice, opinions, or experience in this area?
