Question On A Final Judgement

I need to know if I can have a court ordered Final Judgement assigned to me?

I dont know what the judgement was for, and dont know if its attached to the property, but can I buy their judgement?

It just says recover from the defendants: John Doe
123 Somewhere Ave
ABC, XX 55555

the principal sum of XXXX.XX at a X% interest rate.

Thier property is going into foreclosure. I know it doesn't hurt to ask if they will, and I am going to, but would like to know if it can be or has been done.

Thanks

Tim

Iif we are talking about a final judgment of foreclosure and the judgment has been issued but but the property has not yet been sold at the courthouse steps, i.e. the judgment has not been executed, you could purchase the note (via an assignment) at a discount from the lender. At that point you would be stepping into the shoes of the bank and can continue with the foreclosure sale. You might want to have the attorney who is prosecuting the foreclosure for the lender continue the representation on your behalf.

No, not about final judg of Forc. Like a small claims suit judgement owed to the plaintiff by the home owner for 2k.

Yes. a final judgment is a right to money like any other. that right is assignable. I would not pay much, if any for it, unless you know for sure that there are assets on which the judgment can be executed (like cars, personal property, a bank account). If the person owns a home, that home is exempt from execution as homestead property.
