question for anyone who can help
Has anyone ever dealt with Professional Financial Associates? I was contemplating ordering their registered loan broker program but would like to know if anyone has heard of them. Their website is at www.pfa.com.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Don't waste your cash. They are going to send you the information needed to becaome a licensed broker, but that doesn't mean that you will be approved by your state. In MD, you need to have experience as a broker (documented) to even file the application for a license. Also, it is not cheap to get approved...approx $2000 total.
If you're doing this to help with investing, don't waste your money, make relationships with brokers in your area. If it's to become a Mortgage Broker, send me an email and I'll put you in the right direction.
A good rule of thumb on the legitimacy of an online offer is, if you pull the website and immediately get 2 or 3 pop up ads, expect that the rest of your stay, on that site, will be to generate quick cash for the webmaster, just like the pop ups are doing.
hope this helps,

Benny222- notice in June you were thinking about dealing with PFS, did you do anything about it. I have a young relative who has the "chance" to join this group or whatever they are for a one time fee of $150. They will send her some literature about mortgages. She wants to do mortgage processing at home, because of small children. Have know people to do this but not anyone I could ask.
Hi,
No I never did use them. Just decided to deal with a buddy of mine who owns his own mortgage company. Read clears post above if you missed it.
