Question About Safety
To women investors or anyone in general who go to pre-foreclosure properties or any property in general, do you feel safe going by yourself or what pre-cautions do you use?

What sort of risks do you think you are taking?
Are we talking about auctions at the courthouse or at each property being auctioned? If the second I would not feel great about certain locations and I am not female.
If the issue is having funds with you to pay there are ways to limit the risks while still having cleared funds.

I think she means her personal safety.
There was a long thread about this awhile ago. It mght have been too far back to be saved.
I carry a 3D flashlight everywhere. I also carry a lead pipe with a rubber handle in some situation for any dogs, because I am "scared of dogs". Of course you have a cell phone. Once you get in the house make a quick call to the "office" giving them the time and address and that you will call when done. Of course if you get the creeps just say that you don't feel well and need to get some fresh air. Blame it on some new medication.
Guess you can play som other tricks. But honestly, I have never felt uncomforatble or threatened in a sellers home.

Yes,I'm talking about personal safety and sorry for such a short post, I was kinda in a hurry (boss was coming in my office). Just wanted to know what, if anything specific did other investors do for their safety, especially the women since it seems most go out alone.
To take the edge off the situation (& if you are not comfortable in their home) meet the client in a neutral, comfortable place away from the home. Sometimes this is better b/c you don't have the distractions (phone, people in the house, pets, the doorbell, etc.). I usually look for a comfortable coffee place with cushy seats (Starbucks type but not SB b/c it's usually crowded) . Hotel lounges work well, order OJ & you should be fine.
