Personally having been burned by guaranteeing lease would be leery of any sort of guarantee about rents.
Two buddies and I went into business, and I was the only one willing to sign the lease guarantee. I left the company, they stopped paying rent but continue to use the property, sometime later I got served a lawsuit.
Do you mean pay them 2 years of rent in monthly payments?
Why would you do that? To sweeten the pot? Not sure how your market is up there, but in todays sellers market - you should be able to name the price.[ Edited by hoober on Date 02/23/2005 ]
