Putting Dishwasher(s) In Storage

Anyone ever successfully put a dishwasher back into service after having it in storage for a while? I have a good condition D/W that I just removed because the property needed new appliances for the bast possible sale price. Generally I get rid of old D/Ws but this one is not old and in good shape. Any precautions to watch out for? I anticipate it will be in storage for 4 to 6 months until it will be redeployed.

Water from the pump may be lost in the movement or evaporate while in storage, so prime the pump by pouring a large cup of water into the bottom of the dishwasher when putting back into service.

We do this regularly but depending on your climate you need to be aware that freezing temperatures can cause damage if there is any water at all left in the washer..

Try and drain completely, you could put antifreeze in there as well RV or other if you run a few cycles afterwards to get it out.
