No. Not possible unless you know a crooked judge

Happens all the time. First, dispute away all but the last 2 years or so of your old addresses, and any name variations like maiden name.

Once that's done, try disputing the record as "not mine". Sometimes you can get rid of them.

Very difficult and if removed we have learned through research, the public record has the possibility to reappear. Then the time clock begins to start over click again. (7-10 years)

how do you dispute the old names and addresses away?? i have like 20 old addresses, so many of them are just variations of the same three. i would like to remove the duplicates.

you write a letter to the credit bureau disputing the addresses, that they must verify within 30 days. Usually it's not worth their while to verify a disputed address so they just delete the disputed addresses.

    1. Reinsertion requires notice to the subject (person whose credit report is taking the hit) within 5 days. They never provide notice. The subject then has leverage to compel permanent deletion.

    2. The CRAs can't "re-age" the matter in the course of reinsertion. They have to report the date the judgment was entered, Period. Perhaps another violation providing leverage for permanent deletion.

Just got rid of a paid judgment for DW on TU, and a paid tax lien for her on EQ. Both were resolved about 1.5 years ago, so we're 5.5 years short of when they would have aged off.

Cleared off old addresses and the maiden name, and then used the "not mine" dispute (also the plaintiff's name on the paid judgment was badly misspelled on TUs TL--that probably helped because we pointed out that no business with that name existed or had ever existed).

    It is possible, folks!

TU wouldn't delete the paid tax lien, but we'll get 'em on another go 'round. [ Edited by flacorps on Date 12/19/2003 ]

there's really an easier way to get rid of a public record.

First call the CRA's to remove your addresses they will help you and will send you out a new report.

Second, if you want the steps to get rid of the public record, send me a e-mail I will help you

Lots of luck if you do the way that I read , that's the hard way
