Public Opinion-Purchasing In The Post-Katrina South
In the aftermath of Katrina I would speculate there may be areas on the outskirts of the damage that might be a good value now. Cities in Alabama, Mississippi, and of course Louisiana. (Of course if everybody is thinking the same thing, that may drive prices up higher than in the days prior to the hurricane.) For now let’s get some public opinions here. So, this question is a two-parter.
1) Agree or disagree about investing in the area surrounding the damage?
2) If you agree……Where exactly, for us out-of-towners?
Thanks, Brian
Brian,
Prices in "dry" areas are already spiking as we speak.
"Where" you ask?
So far, the Baton Rouge residential and commercial markets are up 20-30% in the past week.
