Ohio Area
I have been doing alot of research since my last post and I have narrowed down my area to OH. Anybody from this area? I am looking in Akron, Canton, maple heights and cheviot. Any other suggestions on where to look? Are there any things I should be aware of being a landlord in OH? I am open to other states as well it just seems that for the money I have I can get a pretty good start here.

New Orleans sometimes has local crime problems. However, 100% of my lock problems are domestic related anyway.
I may slip it into my next lease with men only. I never have this issue with women for some reason.
I change out the locks immediately before renting, and inform the tenant that I have done so and the only people with a key are them and me. If they want the lock changed for some reason I expect them to have me do it- I have lots of door sets and it only takes a few minutes.

Excellent point finniganps. That is something I should do, it would be easy to let the tenant know I will be doing an inspection when I change the filters.
