Yeah, all three plus for the two properties we have near hospitals we put 3x5 cards on the bulletin boards in the lounges/cafeterias. Anything bigger usually disappears.

For rent signs from the store can be expensive - especially since people take them - and they do not give you much room to hand write. You can call a couple of sign shops and see if they will sell you some blank coregated plastic (the type you always see on the side of the road) and the sign stakes. Buy a couple of extra. (I keep a whole box of blank ones for all sorts of uses. The blank signs are really handy), Once a week you will want to replentish your signs. You can also buy tile board (with the paneling, sheet is about the sign of a sheet of plywood, thin like peg board, white shiny on one side) at home depot, have them cut it to size at hd, buy some long cut stakes, wood screws (use several per sign), wide permanent black market and put them togeter with your cordless drill and hammer them into the ground.
I am have been very lucky with just putting a sign out by the road and one in the window of the unit. If possible, I would avoid the newpaper. We tried it once and yes it did get many responses but the cost was very high for a weekend ad. If the property has low visibility, you may have to go this route.

Craiglist, as already mention, appears to work for some although in my market I would say not everyone has an internet connection, maybe your target group would be online. Out of the 5 tenants I have, only one has a PC and Internet connection.
