Problems With Countrywide?

Has anyone ever had a problem with Countrywide calling the loan. This is my first loan with Countrywide. This is the only company I have ever heard bad info on. Is any of this true or is it the same old blah blah on the web?
Counrtywide is the only one we ever worried about now we have 2 pending.
Thaks ahead

I have my primary mortgage with Countrywide. The only company I can speak really neg. against is Wells Fargo on their 203K loan program. It was a nightmare.

    sire,

I have 20 SFH loans with CW and I am relatively satisfied with them...

....ALL my disputes have been satisfied in MYFavor, after I show them TheLight!!

...however, after closing, go to their InternetSite...Join/LogOn and see if they have YourEscrowRight...

They have tried SCREWING me for thousands...

CaughtUm!...and with minor problems, had the problems RESOLVED!

Look up your loans EVERY month, on the site, to keep them HONEST!!!

    ....as always,

    Sire,

Countrywide is just like every other lender out there when it comes to the loan being called.

Just make sure your mortgage is current and your payments are on time so you don't give them a reason to call the loan, and you shouldn't have any problems.

    Best of luck

Thanks for the response. I was speaking of subject to and it seems thought everyone was thinking of a regular loan. Countrywide has just been pegged as the Loan Caller of subject to. Is this just an internet rumor or where did all this start?
    Thanks again

    Sire,

I have seen and heard the same stories. There have been posts in the past saying “The sky is falling, the sky is falling and Countrywide has called my loan.” Finally when someone responds asking for the details of what happened, the truth comes out that they were 3 months behind on payments.

Ask yourself, what lender in their right mind, would call a note that is performing, making money for their company and its investors, current and on time?

Just don’t give ANY lender a reason to call the loan; and the best way to do that is to keep it current.

    Best of luck

I'm currently having the same problem with Countrywide. Although my issue is unique (divorce), I've tried to work out a payment plan with Countrywide and even refinanced the loan. Countrywide quickly attempted to foreclose the loan and even sent back the check to new loan company complaining the amount was off by $1K due to (unnecessary) attorney fees imposed by the filing of foreclosure.

Where's the class action suit against Countrywide?
