Probate Sales?
hello, newbie here. i'm going to be receiving a hefty sum of profit from the sale of my last home and i'm looking into getting into rehabbing as a form of investment.
there is a house a block away from me right now that is boarded up and graffitied quite badly. it's listed as going to probate sale next month. i have a couple of questions for the seasoned veterans here. the listing price they're posting has no bearing whatsoever on the actual sale price right? isn't it just an auction where the price could be lower than what they've listed? also, in a probate sale, i've heard that there is a requirement that the winning bidder have a very substantial amount of the sale price in cash, thus deterring most investors from getting into probate sale houses. is this true? if so, does anyone have any further information on that? thanks for your time.
