Premiere Asset Services

I am a first time potential buyer of a property i want to re-hab. I put a bid on the property that had sat vacant for 1 1/2 years. According to the realtor they wanted to unload it. Out of no where came this "phantom" bidder. We received a letter from Premiere Asset Services stating I needed to sign a "Multi Offer Disclosure" Is this a scam? Has anyone had any dealings with them? I think they are trying to jack up the price by having multi-bidders, but being my forst re-hab house I am lost. Any answers are welcom! Thanks

Is the property listed with a realtor?

Hi Suny, this company is a new company that will be taking over foreclosures for different banks. I found out about them when I went to Wells Fargo Bank list of foreclosures. I believe this is the company that most big banks will be sending there properties to. I hope this helps.

Here in Utah this company has had people that ostensibly work for them do some incredibly scammy things.

One agent here that says he works for them has an employee dressed as a sherrif threatening people to make them surrender the keys to him before the sale date has taken place.

I list bank repos and I am unsure why an agent would go through the hastle and the possible legal backlash of having someone dress up as a law enforcement officer just to get someone out of the property early. I list bank repos and there is no benefit to getting them out before the sale date. After the sale date, eviction proceedings start and another 30 days or so after that the agent, a sheriff, and an eviction crew goto the home to remove them from the house. I would double check those facts about an agent having someone dress as a sheriff because there would be no benefit for an agent to do that and risk a lot to do it.

    Chase

Premiere asset services is the same company I had to sign docs for to purchase my last rehab project (bank REO). I think theyre a large company that assists banks with dealing with their REOs. I dont think there is anything "shady" going on personally. Just multiple offers, which tends to happen on REOs.
