Pre-foreclosure Extension
Is there a way to get the mortgage company to give an extension? I have a good lead on a house however the sale date is in a week and a half? Is there any way I can an extension on this for a couple of weeks.
In each and every situation, relief and/or consideration is granted to the mortgagor... not to the individual or entity that seeks to purchase.
Meaning, if the Homeowner requests an extension, postponement, adjournment, etc., and has sufficient grounds for such relief... then the mortgagee may grant that request for relief to the mortgagor.
Sufficient grounds may include an executed contract for sale, or proof that funds are available to cure the default.
